The program
Churches that use HoW can text people who have opted in. Texts include event reminders, schedule changes, volunteer requests, and church news, as well as care follow-ups and giving receipts. Each text names the church that sent it.
DCX Logic also sends HoW test messages, from DCX Logic HoW Test, to its staff and invited pilot testers who have opted in, under these same terms.
Opting in
You opt in by ticking the unticked text-message box on a church's HoW form or printed connection card, or by telling the church's staff, who record it. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, gift, membership, or registration. See an example of the sign-up.
How often
Message frequency varies by church and by what you signed up for, typically 1 to 8 messages a month to each person from each church they signed up with.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
Stopping
Reply STOP to any text. You will get one text confirming it, and no more texts from that church unless you opt in again. UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT work too.

Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
